This week at Dreamforce, we gave Slack one of its biggest upgrades yet, the connected interface for AI and Salesforce that works across your whole team. Every company is investing in AI right now, but they’re missing two things. First, the conversational context that adds long-term memory and insight that makes AI more accurate, actionable, and trustworthy. And next, the collaborative interface that allows employees to use these AI tools together and learn from one another.

Summer’s winding down, but the pace inside Slack isn’t. While people are squeezing in one last hurrah, our teams have been shipping – and this month’s drop is one of the biggest yet. The theme running through all of it: AI shouldn’t be something you do alone in a tab. Work is better when the people and the agents helping you are in the same room, with the same context, able to see what’s happening and jump in when it matters.

We’re excited to make it possible for anyone to be a builder on Slack with the launch of Add to Slack, an enterprise-grade deployment path built alongside 10 leading AI creation platforms, including Hyperagent, LangChain, Lovable, n8n, NanoClaw, OpenAI, Runlayer, Skydive, Superhuman and Vercel. Add to Slack is a secure, one-click bridge embedded inside your favourite agent builder tools.

Every few months, something shifts. What you’re doing in Slack today wasn’t possible three months ago. In April, Slackbot learned to act. In May, it learned to see. In June, it learned you and your systems. And it listens. In July, Slackbot moves work forward, in the conversation.

Summer has a way of clarifying what actually matters. You want to spend time out in the sun, not wasting time bouncing between apps to get your work done. This June, we shipped across every layer of Slack. Slackbot learned to remember you, reach your whole tool stack, speak your language and turn your data into something you can actually see. Direct Messages and the sidebar got easier to navigate.

Think about the five apps you can’t do your job without. Now count how many of them talk to each other. If you’re in sales, your deals live in one tool, your contracts in another, your decks in a third. If you’re an engineer, your tickets, your incidents and your code reviews are three different tabs. Every one of those apps got an AI assistant this year. None of them got any closer together.

We’ve all been there. You’re in the middle of your most important work when a notification pulls you out of your flow. A project lead needs a status update. A client is asking about a ticket. Finding the information in Slack is easy – but pulling it together and drafting a clear response takes time you don’t have. At Slack, we believe that making automation workflows accessible to everyone is the key to unlocking true organisational productivity.
